Touch up your front door if necessary. Add a welcome mat and a wreath on the front door. Ensure that your house number is legible and easy to find. Keep trees, bushes and lawn cut. Park in your garage to prevent blocking the view of your home to foot or road traffic. Keep garage door closed. Leave outdoor lights on for drive by traffic so that they can get a good view of your home.
Clean out your home. Remove Clutter from your home and depersonalize (remove family photos). Put away toothbrushes, make-up, jewelry and medications.
Stage your home. You can hire a professional that can come in and re-arrange and remove furnishings that are not necessary. Furniture correctly arranged visually enlarge your space.
Clean your home. Sometimes it is easier to hire a professional to come in and do a deep clean of your home. Make sure your home smells fresh.
Leave your home for showings! This is really important as a buyer and their agent should be able to go through your home and openly discuss how your home meets the buyer’s needs. If the buyer has questions they will make sure to address these with your agent.
